This was a presentation for Goldwell NY early on when dealing with COVID-19.
I always do the same on the left and the right side to ensure they come out the same. I use various KARG scissors from precision shears to texture sliders to blending shears. The reason is very simple; I like to work efficiently and I achieve much better results - it's so much easier 😉
- Have your client stand up, establish the guide with a horizontal section just above the occipital bone. I am using the KARG Shear K-Long Couture my go to precision shear.
- Shorten everything to the guide by point cutting motion with the K-Long Couture.
- Have your client sit, section the head in two from the crown to the top of the ear (slight diagonal) both sides must be parted even, very important (step 7).
- Take a triangle section from the center part, you are now determine the bangs, slide cut with the KARG Shear K-MSlide Royale at a 45 finger angle from short to long.
- Take a center section comb hair at a 45 hair angle progress into a 90 top of head.
- Take a section at the curvature-zone of the head, comb at a 45 hair angle have your fingers point down and follow the guide (longest hair 90 top section) shorten in slide cut motion with the K-MSlide Royale to might any harsh cutting lines.
- Take the section below the curvature-zone of the head, comb the hair straight towards you make sure your fingers are parallel to the section (step 3)
- Copy Paste/ Repeat the exact same on the other side of the head do not switch sides stay put!
- Take a center section from the top of the head to the nape, section horizontal above the occipital bone comb up keep fingers straight and cut at the longest point from the side (step 7) that's you guide. Copy Paste/ Repeat the exact same on the other side and connect the two.
- Have your client stand up, connect the side with the back by taking a vertical section from the top of the head to the nape and connect. Repeat on the other side.
- Have your client sit, take the same vertical section you just connected, comb straight up to the longest point "let the outline drop" and cut. I am now point cutting with the K-MSlide Royale.
- Take a section right next to it and repeat. Copy Paste/ Repeat the exact same on the other side
- Personalize with the K-BSlide Royale; take a vertical section in the back at a 90 focus on the perimeter, lighten if needed.
- Personalize with the K-TSlide Royale; section off the front on the sides and shorten/ undercut.
